Africa. Places we stayed.

We look really tired and FAT!!! It took us 20 hours to get here. Sleeping on the plane was not easy and the anticipation was over whelming.

Ranger Safari was the safari company that we used.

Our most excellent Guide Was Leo. He was very professional. His knowledge was amazing!!

John Maisano from "Safari and Beyond" was our travel agent who did a wonderful job. He was very informative and helpful. John was very patient with all the dumb questions i asked.
Arumeru River Lodge
Serengeti Serena Lodge
This was a quaint little cottage. It made me think of something out of a fairy tale. Pictures do not do it justice. It was just down right cute!!! All our rooms had mosquito nets around the beds. I think that was more for romance then necessity. I don't think we seen a mosquito any where.

Ndutu Lodge

One of the best things at this lodge was waiting for us when we returned from safari there was a camp fire waiting on us. Neat chairs and someone bring us wine. We sat around the camp fire enjoying the sunset and shared our day with other guest.

Ngorongoro Serena Safari

The staff here were very friendly. They learned our names and joked with us. Happy people. The view from our veranda and dinning room was breath taking. We could see 120 miles across the crater. Elephants were right out side the hotel.

SERENA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE LODGE

It was a mix of English and Africa. Beautiful gardens.

Please check out the sights to get more pictures and information. I will post more pictures please check back. If you are interested I also have posted about Africa here. http://debbiedohair.blogspot.com/2009/04/africa-amazing.html

Oh my goodness Deb, I am so thrilled that you could take this trip. Africa is a place that I have longed to visit all of my adult life. I feel a heart connection with Africa that is very difficult to describe. You are blessed friend, I'm so happy for you. Sharon

Deb, what a fantastic trip it must have been. I love the hut looking houses or bungalos.
